Zeki Celik: Too early for PSG, Lyon

Lille’s Turkish right-back Celik said he is hoping to play for one of the top teams in Europe one day.

Turkish right-back Zeki Celik spoke to Radyospor today about his experience in France so far, having made the move from Istanbulspor to Lille in July earlier this year.

The 21-year-old, who lists Dani Alves and Kyle Walker as players he likes to base his style off of, said his goal is to play for one of the big teams in Europe eventually.

“I wasn’t expecting to transfer to Lille. I have found a place in French football. It’s been a good start for me. I want to be better with every passing day. I’ve adapted to France. I’m still learning the language, but I’ve learned the language of football. I’m learning to speak. My aim is, after here, to play for Europe’s biggest clubs. It’s too early for Lyon or PSG. But that could change at the end of the season, depending on my performances,” the ambitious youngster said regarding his future.

The promising full-back signed for French club Lille from Turkish second-division club Istanbulspor in July.
