Antalyaspor’s Vainqueur joins Monaco on loan

The French midfielder will spend the rest of the season in his native homeland with Monaco.
Antalyaspor have loaned out their French midfielder William Vainqueur to AS Monaco, the club announced today.
The 30-year-old’s wages will be covered by the struggling Ligue 1 side although the transfer fee has not been disclosed.
According to the Turkish club, the player failed his medical exam initially which caused the French club to back away from the deal but after being tested again the following day he was deemed fit enough to complete the transfer.

The defensive midfielder has played for some of Europe’s top clubs including AS Roma and Olympique Marseille.
His deal with Antalyaspor runs out in June 2020.
