Akigo have parted ways with their head coach after another bad run of unsuccessful performances.

Akhisarspor have relieved Cihat Arslan of duties as head coach of the first team, the club’s president Huseyin Eruyksel confirmed in a statement on Thursday.

Eryuksel thanked Arslan for his services and commitment to the team and wished him success in the next phase of his career.

Cem Kavcak has been placed in charge temporarily as interim manager while the club find a more suitable replacement.

Arslan is the second manager to be sacked by the club this season after the previous manager, Safet Susic, was let go after just 5 games into the season.

Arslan’s 15 outings as manager have resulted in 3 wins, 3 draws and 9 losses.

Akhisarspor are currently in last place with 17 points after 21 games.
