Istanbul Basaksehir eliminated from Champions League

The Turkish club were knocked out of the Champions League qualifying rounds by Olympiacos with a score of 3-0 on aggregate.

Istanbul Basaksehir bid an early goodbye to the 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League after their elimination in the Third Qualifying Round by Olympiacos on Tuesday.

The Greek powerhouse defeated Basaksehir 2-0 in the second leg in Athens, capitalizing on their 1-0 victory in Turkey last week. Olympiacos advance to the Champions League play-offs 3-0 on aggregate.

Despite their elimination, Istanbul Basaksehir will have the opportunity to make amends for their loss as they will continue their European football quest in the group stages of the 2019-2020 UEFA Europa League.
