Bursaspor deny ex-Liverpool striker Milan Baros transfer rumours

The Green Crocodiles will not be making a move for former Liverpool forward Milan Baros.

Turkish football club Bursaspor have no interest in signing Czech former forward Milan Baros.

The club’s director Selcuk Erdogan cleared up the recent reports which have been making rounds in Czech media which ave claimed the Turkish club are in talks with the 38-year-old former Liverpool striker.

Erdogan said the rumours were “a misunderstanding” pushed by the Czech media.

“I know Milan baros and worked with him when I was coaching. i also read these transfer claims from the foreign press. We recently added Kerem Can Akyuz to our squad. A Czech journalist saw the photo in the news thought it was Milan Baros. Baros is not on our agenda. The incidient is a complete misunderstanding,” Erdogan said.

It seems that Baros’ Turkish doppelganger, Kerem Can Akyuz, has caused quite the rumour in Czech Republic.

The Turkish talent joined Bursaspor from Denizlispor one a one-and-a-half-year deal earlier this month.

Bursaspor, who were relegated from the Super Lig last season, are currently fighting for promotion back to Turkey’s top flight.
