Galatasaray to pay €250K to Dinamo Kiev

Belhanda to trigger clause

Younes Belhanda is close to triggering a transfer clause since signing from Dyanmo Kiev in the summer for €8 million.

Welsey Sneijder’s replacement, Younes Belhanda has appeared 24 times for his new club this season after playing against Bursaspor tonight and is one appearance away from triggering a transfer clause that was agreed upon as one of the conditions for the transfer.

Galatasaray signed the French-born midfielder from Dinamo Kiev and negotiated a low transfer fee with several clauses. One of them states if the player makes 25 appearances for his new club, Dinamo Kiev would be owed an additional €250,000.

As he would almost certainly feature in Galatasaray’s next match, Cim Bom will have to fork out the chunk of money. In addition to this, the 27-year-old is close to receiving a bonus himself.

Upon reaching 50 points in the Turkish Super Lig, Galatasaray are to pay the player €100,000 as a team-performance bonus. Currently, they are in 1st place with 47 points.
