Benfica extend Talisca’s contract until 2020

Benfica extend Talisca contract by one year

Anderson Talisca has had his contract extended until 2020 by Benfica.

Besiktas star Talisca has agreed to a one-year contract extension with his parent club, Benfica, according to Portuguese sources. The Brazilian’s previous deal was until 2019 however the club has confirmed they have decided to activate a contractual clause which allowed them to extend the current terms of the contract by one year.

While this may be good news for Benfica and the player, it certainly won’t be received well be Besiktas, where the in-form player is currently on loan. The 24-year-old has been in excellent form this campaign having been involved in majority of the goals scored by the team.

Besiktas have an agreement with Benfica to buy the midfielder for a fixed price of €21 million until May 31st however that seems unlikely given the club’s financial predicament. This season is expected to be Talisca’s final season with the Black Eagles.

World-renowned manager Jorge Mendes has begun talks with several clubs regarding a possible transfer this summer and one of those clubs is Monaco. The French giants have been interested in the Brazilian for some time now and are reportedly looking to strike a deal with his parent club.
