Alanyaspor part ways with manager

Alanyaspor fire manager Hikmet Karaman

Alanyaspor have parted ways with Hikmet Karaman as they try to salvage the rest of the season and remain in the Turkish Super Lig.

Hikmet Karaman has resigned as manager of Alanyaspor after losing the trust and confidence of the board of directors and supporters due to the club’s terrible performances so far in the campaign.

The club have lost the last 4 of their last 5 matches. In total, they’ve lost 14 matches this season and are currently one place above the relegation zone. Mesut Bakkal has been the man they’ve chosen to take the reins at the Mediterranean club and are reported to have agreed terms with the manager. No official confirmation has been made yet, however.

Bakkal’s last job in management was at Genclerbirligi in the first half of the Turkish Super Lig however his stint there was short-lived as he was fired for his poor performance.
