Carlos Carvalhal praises Besiktas supporters

Carlos Carvalhal speaks about Besiktas fans

Former Besiktas manager Carlos Carvalhal spoke to British press earlier today. He briefly mentioned the Black Eagles’ supporters and his appreciation for them.

Carlos Carvalhal, currently managing Swansea City, recently spoke to the British press about a variety of topics and one of them was the supporters of Besiktas.

“The Besiktas supporters were unbelievable. Their energy is completely different. At one point, there were 32 thousand people in the stadium jumping and cheering at the same time. You could feel the vibration created by them. At that moment, I thought ‘I’m being paid to work here’, but I would give everything to experience this.”, the Portuguese manager said during his interview with the Daily Mirror.

Carvalhal managed the Black Eagles from August 2nd 2011 until April 2nd 2012. He also had a brief stint at Basaksehir in the beginning of the 2012 season, back then known as Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor, and to this day remains their first and only non-Turkish manager.
