Trabzonspor’s Kamil Corekci out for rest of season

Trabzonspor’s right-back Kamil Corekci and defender Ugur Demirok have been ruled out for the rest of the season with injury.

English-born right-back Kamil Ahmet Corekci picked up an injury during his team’s match against Sivasspor on the weekend which has seen him ruled out for the rest of the season. In addition to Kamil, defender Ugur Demirok will also miss the rest of the campaign due to an injury.

Trabzonspor football club have released an official statement notifying fans of the unfortunate news;

“Our medical staff have determined after further medical analysis that two of our players, Ugur Demirok and Kamil Ahmet Corekci, have picked up injuries during our match against Sivasspor.”

“According to the examinations findings and the MRI results, Kamil Ahmet Corekci has a second-degree injury to the internal lateral ligament of his right knee. A treatment regimen for 3-4 weeks will be implemented. Ugur Demirok has an injury to the right posterior hamstring muscle and the treatment will last approximately 2-3 weeks.”

Kamil, born in London, England, joined Trabzonspor in 2017 from Eskisehirspor.
