Trabzonspor to sign two players before window closes

The Black Sea Storm are strengthening their squad as they push for the Super Lig title.

Trabzonspor’s transfer dealings are still ongoing despite the little time left before the January transfer window shuts. The club have reached a deal with defender Manoel Messias and are in talks with a few more.

The Super Lig outfit have agreed terms with Cruzeiro defender Manoel Messias, according to reports from Turkey.

The deal is reported to be for a one-and-half seasons.

Another player on Trabzonspor’s shortlist is Dinamo Zagreb defender Kevin Theophile-Catherine.

The 30-year-old’s contract with the Croatian club ends this summer in June.

Trabzonspor have made contact with Zagreb regarding the player’s transfer and talks are ongoing.

Also on Trabzonspor’s shortlist is Yeni Malatyaspor’s attacking midfielder Guilherme.

The stocky 28-year-old has been on the radar of multiple Turkish football clubs, however, Trabzonspor are reported to be leading the race for his signature.

Guilherme, who is currently on loan with Yeni Malatyaspor from Benevento, has a loan release clause which allows the player to terminate the loan in exchange for €150,000.

However, the player’s agent Marcelo Robalinho is reported to have negotiated the fee down to €40,000 which would allow Trabzonspor to sign the player without stretching their finances.

Trabzonspor are expected to sign at least two players before the tranfer window shuts later this week.
