Adebayor suspended for Sivasspor match

Istanbul Basakeshir’s star striker Emmanuel Adebayor, along with his teammate Mahmut Tekdemir, will miss their club’s next match due to an automatic suspension.

Emmanuel Adebayor picked up a yellow card for an unncessary foul in the 12th minute of his team’s away fixture against Osmanlispor earlier today.

The yellow card means an automatic one-match suspension due to an accumulation of yellow cards through-out the season.

Adebayor’s absence will surely be felt by Istanbul Basaksehir as he is their top goalscorer this season with 12 goals to his name and they have just 3 matches left to play as the race to be crowned Turkish Super Lig champions winds down.

Basakeshir defeated Osmanlispor 4-1 today which sees them move up to 2nd place with 65 points.
