Emre Colak signs for Al-Wahda

Turkish midfielder Emre Colak has made a surprise move to the Middle East.
Deportivo La Coruna have sold Turkish midfielder Emre Colak to Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Wahda for €1 million.
Colak signed a three-year contract with the Gulf club where he will earn €4 million per year.
The signing took place in Switzerland.
This is a surprise move by the 27-year-old given his age and technical ability. One would expect a player to seek a move to the Gulf for a final payday before hanging up their cleats, however, in this case, it seems Colak has been swayed by the financial package on offer.
During his two year stint at La Liga’s Deportivo La Coruna, Emre made 63 appearances, scored 5 goals and assisted 8.
