Caykur Rizespor release left-back Ozgur Cek

One of Super Lig’s newly promoted teams, Caykur Rizespor, have terminated the contract of the 27-year-old left back, the club announced today.

Ozgur Cek is left looking for a new club where he can ply his trade next season after being released by Caykur Rizespor.

The Northern Turkish club released a statement on their official website regarding the decision;

“We have completed our contractual obligations with Ozgur Cek, who has played in more than 45 matches with our team last season. We thank him for his efforts and wish him happiness in life.”

Other players who were also released from the club in recent weeks include Umit Kurt, goalkeeper Kaya Tarakci and Lincoln.
