Luis Nani: “I didn’t meet with Goztepe”

Portugese star Luis Nani put to bed the claims he spoke with the Turkish club.

Former Fenerbahce winger Luis Nani dimissed claims that he was close to joining Super Lig outfit Goztepe.

In recent days, the rumour mill of the sports media has been in full-throttle speculating about player transfers.

Nani was the victim of the latest reports linking him with a move to the Izmir club.

However, the Portugese international put the rumours to bed with a public statement.

“I did not meet with Goztepe. The reports saying I agreed to a contract worth €1.5 million plus bonuses are not true. I love the Turkish people and Turkey. I would like to return to play in Turkey but I have not met with nor agreed with any club at the moment,” explained the 31-year-old winger.
