Sunderland sign Boluspor's alim ozturk

The English club have picked up the Turkish defender on a free transfer from Turkey’s second division.

Sunderland AFC have signed defender Alim Ozturk after his contract with Turkish club Boluspor expired this month.

The 25-year-old signed a two-year contract with the English team, who were relegated from the Championship last season.

The Turkish defender started his career in the Netherlands before being signed by Trabzonspor however his time there was cut short after just one season. Eventually he made his way to Scottish club Heart’s of Midlothian football club where he enjoyed a successful three years.

In January 2017 he returned to Turkish football, signing for second division side Boluspor for a one-and-a-half year contract.
