Andre Santos leaves Boluspor after contract expires

The Former Arsenal left-back has left 1.Lig club Boluspor after the expiration of his contract.

Brazilian left-back Andre Santos has left Boluspor and is now a free agent.

Santos, who played for Boluspor in Turkey’s second division, was in the final weeks of his contract and is now on the lookout for a new club.

The 35-year-old said goodbye to club staff and members of the press at the club’s facilities and thanked everyone for their interest and support during his stay in Bolu.

The player apologized to club fans for not fulfiling an objective;

“My goal was to play in the Super Lig with this team. We have not reached this goal. “

Speaking on his time living in the city, he said;

“I came to a city I have never known and I will never forget in my life. “

Santos said he would like to play for one more year, preferably in Turkey, before retiring;

“My wish is to play one more season. I think this will happen in Turkey. I’m not thinkin about leaving Turkey. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Turkey is my second home. I hope my final year will be here. I hope I can experience the happy moments in my new club just as I did here. I experienced very nice moments here.

Andre, at the height of his career, played for Fenerbahce and Arsenal before bouncing around several other clubs.
