Goztepe interested in signing former Caen defender Damien Da Silva

The French defender recently rejected Trabzonspor’s contract offer and is said to be in considering Goztepe’s proposal.

Super Lig outfit Goztepe have made an approach to sign former Caen defender Damien Da Silva, the club’s manager has revealed.

Bayram Bektas, Goztepe’s manager, has confirmed they have held talks with the player and are trying their best to convince the French defender to sign with them.

Just days ago, the 30-year-old was in Trabzon to see the city prior to putting pen to paper, only to back out in the last moment and reject the Black Sea Storm’s offer.

The Izmir club, however, are said to be willing to meet the financial expectations of the player and are pushing to finalize the transfer this week.
