Tottenham's Vincent Janssen open to returning to Fenerbahce

Tottenham’s striker spent last season on loan with Turkish club, where he’d be willing to return to for another season.

Dutch striker Vincent Janssen is open to the idea of playing for the Yellow Canaries again. The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce from Tottenham Hotspur but had a frustrating time in Turkey because of injuries which restricted him to nineteen matches.

Janssen appears to have no future with Tottenham this summer and has been linked with moves to AZ Alkmaar, PSV and Fenerbahce.

Speaking to VI, Janssen said he is keeping his options open but wouldn’t rule out a return to Fenerbahce, where he would be working under Phillip Cocu.

He said, “I would like to play again. That is important. We are going to find the best solution for me and the club.”

“Despite the injury, I had a fantastic year and I have the idea that the chapter Fenerbahce has not yet been closed. That does not mean that Fenerbahce is my only option. I am open to everything. At the moment there is nothing at all.”
