Trabzonspor after Malaga defender Bakary Kone

The Black Sea Storm have inquired about the availability of the Burkinabe defender.

Trabzonspor have formally made a request to transfer Burkina Faso international Bakary Kone from Spanish club Malaga.

The Spanish club has not yet responded but reports suggest the player is interested in moving to Turkey to continue his career.

The central defender, who has made 76 appearances for his country, spent last season on loan French club RC Strasbourg where he caught the eye of the Turkish club’s management.

Bakary is currently valued at around €1.5 million but would be available for less due to having one-year left on his contract and being unwanted at the La Liga club.

Negotiations are continuing between both clubs.
