Fenerbahce sign promising goalkeeper Berke Ozer

The Super Lig giants have signed two young Turks with plenty of potential.

The Yellow Canaries have signed two young Turkish players who are highly regarded and have been courted by major clubs in Europe. Promising goalkeeper Berke ozer and young midfielder Baris Alici have joined Fenerbahce from Altinordu, the club which produced Roma prodigy Cengiz Under.

Ozer is an 18-year-old goalkeeper who had been on the radar of the big three Turkish clubs prior to his transfer and was scouted by elite clubs such as Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Alici, on the other hand, is a 21-year-old right midfielder with an eye for goal.

Altinordu has become a club that is synonymous with young talent having transformed their club essentially into a youth academy that aims to produce solely young Turkish talent.

Fenerbahce boss Phillip Cocu spoke of his approval of the club’s newest transfers.

“It’s very good to have signed two young, talented players to our club. One of the most important issues we are working on is signing young players with high potential who will serve the club in the coming years,” he said.
