Kasimpasa’s Diagne: I had other offers

The Senegalese striker revealed he had other offers prior to joining the Istanbul club.
Kasimpasa striker Mbaye Diagne spoke to members of the press after a training session and answered several questions regarding his time with the Super Lig club.
“One of my goals for this season is to score as many goals as I can. I want to score no less than 20 goals. I hope that as a team everything goes our way and we achieve our goals.”
The Senegalese player spoke highly of current boss Kemal Ozdes;
“He is a good coach, of good character. He helps the players a lot and keeps in touch with them. He makes us feel like a team. I enjoy working with him.”
The 26-year-old explained he had offers from other clubs in Turkey before ultimately deciding to join Kasimpasa;
“I had other offers from the Super Lig but I won’t say from which clubs. There could be other teams still interested but I am a Kasimpasa player at the moment. My whole focus is on Kasimpasa. I’m not thinking about leaving. I want to play for Kasimpasa until my contract finishes. We’ll see what will happen after.”
“The reason I came back from China to Turkey was due to my desire to return to Europe. Before signing for Kasimpasa, I didn’t know much about the club. But, after signing, I saw how honest, hard-working and respectful everyone is here. Everything went well. I still have one year left on my contract and I will do all I can to be useful for the team.”
Diagne has attracted the attention of many clubs with his performances for Kasimpasa last season and is linked with a move to England but nothing has come of the speculation as of yet.
He joined Kasimpasa in January 2018 from Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda on a free transfer and made an instant impact as he scored 12 goals in 17 appearances for his club.
