German striker Lennart Thy moves to Erzurumspor

The former Werder Bremen forward has moved to the Super Lig.

Erzurumspor have completed the free transfer of Lennart Thy from Werder Bremen. The newly promoted Super Lig club announced the news on their social media accounts on Monday.

The 26-year-old signed a two-year contract with his new club and was presented to the public by club president Mevlut Dogan and vice president Unsal Kirac.

“We wanted a player who played both defensive and offensive football and we found that in Lennart. We think we will benefit a lot from him,” Kirac said of their new player.

The German forward revealed he follows the Turkish Super Lig and is excited about playing in Turkey.

Thy spent last season on loan with Dutch club VVV Venlo in the Eredivisie, where he scored 8 goals in 34 competitive games.
