Al-Hilal offer €10m for Bafetimbi Gomis

Al-Hilal offer €10m for Gomis

The Saudi Arabian team have offered Galatasaray’s striker astronomical wages.

According to a report from the Arab Gulf, Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal have flexed their financial muscle in order to convince Galatasaray striker Bafetimbi Gomis to join them.

The Arabs have offered the 32-year-old an annual wage of €10 million, tax-free.

However, this isn’t the first offer Gomis has received from the club, with their initial offer of €6.5 million per year, which was rejected by the Frenchman earlier this month.

The French hitman hasn’t responded to the new offer yet.

The news comes on the back of multiple reports in Turkey claiming a disagreement between Bafetimbi and Galatasaray’s management over wage promises prior to the 2017/2018 season.

The report from the Gulf.

The player’s agent, Patrick Mendy, has been vocal about the claims and has spoken out against the club publicly.

A move from Galatsaray to Al-Hilal would be financially better for him, as the player earns €3.3 million before tax in Istanbul, however with Champions League football on the horizon next season, it would be a step down sporting wise.
