Cuneyt Cakir to officiate Saudi Super Cup

The Turkish referee will call the shots during the Saudi Arabia Super Cup game tomorrow.

Turkey’s most famous referee, Cuneyt Cakir, has been appointed to officiate the Saudi Super Cup clash between Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, according to a statement released by the Turkish Football Federation.

The game will take place tomorrow (August 18) at Loftus Road in London at the home of English club Queens Park Rangers. Kick off is at 6:30PM local time.

The Middle East nation has decided to play their country’s Super Cup in England in order to showcase their clubs and football to the world, to attract more fans.

Cuneyt Cakir’s assistants will be Bahattin Duran and Tarik Ongun. The fourth official will be Muhammad Alismail from the Saudi Arabia Football Federation.
