Bafetimbi Gomis to leave Galatasaray for Al Hilal

The French striker is on the verge of leaving the Turkish club.

The Lions have reached a deal with Saudi Arabian outfit A-Hilal for the sale of Bafetimbi Gomis, according to reports in Turkey.

After a few days of negotiations, the two clubs agreed on a reported €6 million transfer fee.

The 33-year-old has accepted the Gulf club’s contract offer, which is reported to be a €6 milliona-year, three-year contract.

The French striker has caused the Turkish club a lot of headache this summer after demanding a massive wage increase due to his prolific season last year.

Galatasaray’s management turned down his demands, however, and they have also began planning for life without him. Fatih Terim has used Eren Derdiyok as his starting striker in each of the Super Lig games so far, opting to keep Gomis on the bench.

The Saudi Arabian club have also shown interest in another Cim Bom player; Sofiane Feghouli. The Algerian international will remain a Galatasaray player for now, however, as he was unable to agree terms with Al-Hilal.

Gomis transferred to Galatasaray for €2.5 million last summer from Swansea City.
