Qatari club Al-Rayyan in talks for Trezeguet

The Arab club wants to sign Kasimpasa’s star midfielder before the Gulf state’s transfer window closes.

Al-Rayyan have sent officials to Istanbul to try to hash out a deal with Kasimpasa for their prized asset Mahmoud “Trezeguet” Hassan.

According to reports from Egypt, the Qatari side are interested in signing the Egyptian international from the Super Lig outfit.

Officials from both clubs are set for face-to-face meetings in Istanbul to negotiate a transfer.

Galatasaray were heavily linked with the player earlier in the summer, however a move never materialized. The Egyptian international has said on numerous occasions that he would prefer to play for Galatasaray.

Czech giants Slavia Prague were also linked with the player, having been on the verge of signing Trezeguet before the deal collapsed at the last minute.

The player’s contract is reported to have a €5 million release clause in his contract with Kasimpasa.
