Fener’s Koeman wanted by FC Gronigen

Erwin Koeman to leave Fenerbahce for FC Gronigen?

The Dutch coach is lined up to take over the managerial role at FC Gronigen.

Philip Cocu’s assistant manager at Fenerbahce, Erwin Koeman, is reported to be on the wish-list of Eredivisie club FC Gronigen’s administration.

According to reports from Dutch media NOS, the club want a new coach to replace current manager Danny Buijs, who can’t seem to get results.

Gronigen find themselves at the bottom of the league table with 1 win after 6 games.

Buijs has been in charge since the summer but time is running out for him with the club’s administration not willing to wait much longer for him to to turn things around.

Koeman, a well-known name in Gronigen having spent a total of 8 years with the club as a player, has not commented on the matter and it’s unknown whether he would be open to the proposal.
