Galatasaray want Origi, Niasse

Galatasaray offer to loan Everton Niasse

The Lions have made signing a striker during the winter transfer window a top priority.

Galatasaray have began their transfer dealings for the upcoming winter transfer period early. The Turkish giants are short of a striker in their squad, with just Eren Derdiyok, who is struggling with a nagging injury and on-loan forward Henry Oynekuru who has so far been used as a winger due to his pace.

Fatih Terim has asked the club’s administration to sign Everton forward Oumar Niasse, a player he is very fond of. Oumar is essentially frozen out of Everton’s first 11, having made just 4 appearances for the English club so far this season.

The 28-year-old would be returning to familiar territory if he makes the move, having played for Akhisarspor in 2013/2014.

Another forward on Galatasaray’s wish-list is Liverpool striker Divock Origi.

Origi’s future is certainly away from Liverpool, having been demoted to the club’s B team, where he is playing.

The 23-year-old Belgian international needs to be playing top flight football, something he would find at Galatasaray if he were to make the move.

According to sources close to the club, Galatasaray have made an offer to loan Niasse from Everton for one-and-a-half years. However, Everton are reported to have also received offers from other Premier League clubs for the player’s transfer.

Galatasaray’s management are now left waiting for the Senegal forward to decide whether he wants to join The Lions or remain in England.
