Kerem Bulut banned for 4 years for cocaine use

The Turkish-Australian forward has been banned from playing in Turkey for using cocaine.

Australian striker of Turkish origin, Kerem Bulut, has been handed a four year ban from Turkish football for using cocaine.

Bulut had stints with three Turkish clubs, totaling 12 Super Lig appearances. The 26-year-old appears to have played his last game in the country.

The controversial striker spent last season in the Turkish third division, with Menemen Belediyespor, and has since remained a free agent.

Bulut’s drug bust is the latest blight on his career, which has included two separate incidents with the police in 2010 and 2015.

The former Australian Under-23 international also failed to find his feet on home soil and – after a fruitful first spell with the Wanderers in 2015 – was soon released by then-manager Tony Popovic in 2016.
