Bengali Fode Koita hit on head with object

Guinean forward Bengali Fode Koita was hospitalized after being hit with a plastic bottle on the head.

The Turkish Cup fixture between Kasimpasa and Batman Petrolspor got out of hand on Tuesday October 30th in the dying minutes of the game.

The referee of the bout between Batman Petrolspor and Kassmpasa, Ozgur Yankaya, suspended the game second minute of extra time after a plastic bottle hit thrown from the stands hit Kasimpasa’s Bengali Fode Koita on the head.

The Guinean player was hospitalized in Turkey’s southeastern province of Batman.

The Paris-born former Montpellier and Blackburn forward was in stable condition and discharged after given the clear by medical staff.

Kasimpasa were in front 3-2 at the time of the incident.
