Kayserispor coach Ertugrul Saglam resigns

The Super Lig have parted ways with their head coach and are now looking for a replacement.

Kayserispor have accepted head coach Ertugrul Saglam’s resignation, the club’s spokesperson Orhan Tasci announced today.

The Turkish coach is reported to have handed in his resignation as early as last week, however, yesterday’s 2-0 loss at home against Trabzonspor seems to have been the final nail in the coffin.

There were signs of discontent during their Super Lig fixture yesterday as fans chanted anti-administration phrases during the game.

The club’s administration have accepted his resignation after meeting with the coach and have parted ways.

Kayserispor’s president Erol Bedir confirmed the departure today.

“After our interview with coach Ertugrul Saglam, we’ve agreed to part ways with out compensation. The board of directors are now looking for a new coach,” he said.

The club are currently second last in 17th place with 12 points after 14 games. They’ve managed to win just 3 games while conceding 24 goals so far.

The Anatolian Star are now looking for a replacement.
