Galatasaray considering Adebayor move

Galatasaray considering Adebayor move

The Lions are in desperate need of reinforcements up front and are reported to be considering a move for Adebayor next month.

Galatasaray are looking to keep their spending to a minimum this winter due to their obligations to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play and the weak Turkish Lira. Club insiders are claiming they could make a move for two domestic strikers; Istanbul Basaksehir’s Emmanuel Adebayor or Akhisarspor’s Yevhen Seleznyov.

Both players are reported to be unsettled at their respective clubs due to issues with their clubs.

Adebayor has fallen out with Basaksehir coach Abdullah Avci who has preferred to play Riad Bajic up front instead.

The Togolese forward, who is tied to the club until 2020, has played just 38 minutes in his team’s last 4 league games.

Akhisarspor’s Seleznyov, who has publicly stated his interest in playing for Galatasaray, has also been a fringe player for his team this season, despite being their top scorer last campaign.

Galatasaray are reported to be monitoring both players’ situations closely and could make a move for them when the winter transfer window opens next month.
