Goztepe midfielder Halil Akbunar extends deal

Halil Akbunar signs contract extension

The Turkish midfielder has penned a three-year contract extension with the Super Lig side.

Goztepe midfielder Halil Akbunar has signed for another three years with the team, the club’s president Mehmet Sapil announced on Friday.

The 25-year-old right midfielder, who is the club’s second captain, signed his deal at the club’s facilities in Izmir in the presence of Sapil.

“This is my home. We confirmed this today on paper. I will continue to work hard for Goztepe’s success and for myself,” the player said.

Akbunar has spent has entire career thus far with the Izmir based club. So far, he has made 180 appearances for Goztepe during which he has scored 26 goals.

He has also been a regular in the team’s starting eleven, having featured in all of their games this season.
