Belhanda: I have no plans to leave Galatasaray

Belhanda transfer reports denied

The Morocco international shut down reports of him wanting to leave the club this month.

Galatasaray midfielder Younes Belhanda has refuted claims that he is headed for the exit door in the January transfer window.

Speaking to Yahoo sport, the attacking midfielder said he has plans to leave the club.

“I still have a two-and-a-half year contract with Galatasaray. I was injured but I looked after myself and recovered. I can’t wait to help the team again. Every transfer period my name is linked with other teams. For a football player, this is nice to hear but I did not meet with anyone. I didn’t meet with any club from France or Qatar. I said before that I don’t want to leave Galatasaray. I don’t have such thoughts. I have a contract and I’m happy here,” he explained.

His statement has come as a response to reports from France claiming the French-born player was in talks with Monaco.

The 28-year-old, who is tied to The Lions until 2021, has featured 10 times for Galatasaray during which he made 5 assists.
