Flamengo end talks for Galatasaray’s Maicon

Flamengo abandon pursuit of Maicon

The Brazilian club have been put off by Cim Bom’s asking price for the defender.

Flamengo have called off negotiations with Galatasaray for their centre-back Maicon due to the Turkish club’s asking price.

The Turkish club have slapped a €6 million price tag on their player but that figure has scared off Flamengo who have no interest in paying that much for the 30-year-old.

The news was revealed by Portuguese correspondent Bruno Andrade.

The Brazilian defender is not in Fatih Terim’s plans for the second-half of the season and is widely reported to be headed for the exit door this month.
