Former Fener striker Henri Bienvenu joins 1.Lig club

The former Fenerbahce striker’s proposed move to the 1.Lig club has been called off.

Henri Bienvenu’s transfer to Hatayspor has not materialized, according to the Turkish second division club.

The 30-year-old had been invited to their training camp in Antalya where he trained with the team for several days as they negotiated the terms of the deal. The forward even took part of a friendly game against Konyaspor as he was put through his paces.

However, Hatayspor have confirmed that the transfer did not take place due to a failure to agree on the financial terms of the contract, therefore they have ended talks with Bienvenu.

“The transfer did not take place because we were unable to agree on the financial terms, even though we invited him to our training camp in Antalya. We wish him success in the next stage of his career,” the club said in a statement.
