Fenerbahce reach deal with Benfica for Nicolas Castillo

The Yellow Canaries are on the verge of making their third transfer after shaking hands with Benfica for their Chile striker Nicolas Castillo.

Fenerbahce are leading the race to sign Benfica striker Nicolas Castillo after having their loan offer accepted by the Portuguese powerhouse.

Benfica have accepted Fenerbahce’s offer to sign Castillo on a one-and-a-half year loan deal.

The Turkish club will pay Benfica a €4 million loan fee as well as cover the player’s wages for the duration of the loan. The agreement includes a clause that allows Fenerbahce the option to make the transfer permanent for an undisclosed figure.

Mexican outfit America are also after the Chile forward, however. The North American club have also had their offer accepted, according to reports.

The two clubs are now waiting for the 25-year-old’s decision.
