Kerim Frei joins Maccabi Haifa on loan

The Turkish winger has moved to the Israeli Premier League where he will spend the rest of the season playing for Maccabi Haifa.
Istanbul Basaksehir have loaned their Turkish winger Kerim Frei to Israeli outfit Maccabi Haifa, the club confirmed on their official website.
The 25-year-old has found little playing time at the Super Lig club and was reported to have asked for a move elsewhere.
“Our player Kerim Frei has been loaned to Maccabi Haifa football club until the end of the season. We wish our player success for the second half of the season,” the statement read.
Reports in Turkey linked the player with a move to Bursaspor and talks between the club and his agent are reported to have taken place but due to Bursaspor’s transfer ban, the move did not materialize.
