Erzurumspor defender Egeman Korkmaz scores diving header

The veteran centre-back hit the back of the net with a diving header to equalize for his team.

Erzurumspor fought hard until the last minute of their away Super Lig duel with league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir on Saturday afternoon. The away side’s Egemen Korkmaz timed a perfectly struck diving header from a teammate’s cross to earn them a point.

Istanbul Basaksehir took the lead early in the 11th minute through an own-goal by Erzurumspor striker Opseth.

However, the relegation battlers Erzurumspor kept pushing and were rewarded for their efforts in the 75th minute when 36-year-old Egemen Korkmaz shocked the home side with his flying header.

The two sides settled for a 1-1 draw.
