Cuneyt Cakir to officiate Porto-Roma Champions League duel

The Turkish referee will call the shots during the Porto-Roma Champions League clash this week.

Turkey’s most famous referee, Cuneyt Cakir, will officiate the upcoming Champions League Round of 16 clash between Porto FC and AS Roma on Wednesday, March 6.

His assistants will be Bahattin Duran and Tarik Ongun who will be present at the Dragao Stadium in Porto, Portugal.

Halis Ozkahya will be the fourth official while Poland’s Szymon Marciniak and Pawel Gic will be the Video Assistant Referees.

Cakir has represented Turkey regularly through-out the years in competitions ranging from the Europa League to the World Cup. The experienced referee has also been put in charge of officiating Saudi Arabian fixtures in the past.
