Kasimpasa coach taken to hospital during game

The Istanbul club’s coach was taken to a local hospital after complaining of discomfort on Monday evening.

Kasimpasa coach Mustafa Denizli was taken to hospital during the half-time break of the Kasimpasa-Trabzonspor Super Lig clash after complaining of discomfort.

The 69-year-old coach is reported to have suffered from high blood pressure after his team went down 2-0.

Assistant coach Sarp Yigit took over for the rest of the game.

Speaking to TRT Spor about the incident he assured fans that he was fine despite the scare.

“After the second goal our doctor saw me get a little bit angry and he wanted to take my blood pressure. The reading was high but I have high blood pressure during every game. When he insisted, I couldn’t turn him down. Everything is okay,” he explained.

Trabzonspor were leading 2-0 by the end of the first half but Kasimpasa managed to find two goals in the second half via Perica in the 63rd minute and Trezeguet in the 90th minute to salvage a 2-2 draw in front of their home crowd.
