Fatih terim: We should have won comfortably against a 10-man Fenerbahce

The Emperor vented in the post-game conference after watching his team draw 1-1 against 10-man Fenerbahce.

Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim made his frustrations clear on Sunday evening after watching his team give up a 1-0 lead against a 10-man Fenerbahce in their Super Lig clash.

When asked by a reporter about letting a 1-0 lead slip away despite having a numerical advantage, Terim responded candidly.

“To be frank, it was a game we needed to win. We didn’t give them any opportunities in the first half. Fenerbahce could have had gone down another man. We lost concentration after scoring and frankly, we didn’t win a game we should have won comfortably. I’m very upset,” he said.

Terim also had words for the referee, Ali Palabiyik, who was at the center of several questionable calls.

“I don’t want to say too much. I have to choose my words carefully. When I speak, I get punished. I don’t want to give them the opportunity because that’s what they want for the last 6 games. But if you are a coward, do not do this job,” Terim said as he vented his frustration over the referee’s performance.
