The Atletico Madrid midfielder is rated highly by the Turkish club’s staff.

Kayserispor have began their transfer dealings ahead of schedule as they look to strengthen their squad for the next season. The Super Lig club are reported to have made an offer to Atletico Madrid for a one-year extension of Bernard Mensah’s loan.

The 24-year-old joined Kayserispor in the summer of 2018 on an initial one-year loan and has established himself as a first-team regular with his consistent performances.

According to officials of the club, they have made Mensah’s loan extension a priority and have submitted an official loan offer to his parent club, Atletico Madrid.

Kayserispor have made a €1 million offer to keep Mensah, who is valued at €6 million by the Spanish club, for another season.

Kayserispor are also hoping to keep hold of two other first-team players, Tjaronn Chery and Cristian Sapunaru, with whom they’ve opened contract negotiations.

The Super Lig club are reported to be interested in the services of Legia Warsawa’s Polish forward Michal Kucharczyk.

They have approached the 28-year-old, who is a free agent this summer, with a contract offer but are facing competition for his signature from clubs in Spain and Italy.
