Alanyaspor sign AEK Athens midfielder Bakasetas

The resort town club have added a Greek midfielder to their squad.

Alanyaspor have announced on Saturday the transfer of Greek midfielder Anastasios Bakasetas from Greek giants AEK Athens.

The 25-year-old was presented to the public during a press conference held at the club’s facilities in Alanya, where he inked a three-year contract with the Super Lig outfit.

Sitting alongside club president Hasan Cavusoglu, Bakasetas said he was very happy to have joined the club.

“I’m very happy that I’ve joined Alanyaspor. A new chapter in my life begins. I want to thank everyone who was involved in the transfer. Since I arrived and during the transfer process, they showed how willing they were with their behaviour towards me. I will give everything for the club. One of my best friends, Tzavellas, plays here. He is here for two and a half years and I speak with him every day. Because of that, I know the league and team very well. I watched some of the games last season. I believe it is a interesting and difficult league. That’s why I chose it. The conditions here are very good. There is no reason not to have a good season,” the Greek midfielder said.

In his last season with AEK, Bakasetas made 30 appearances during which he scored 6 goals and made 3 assists. He has also been capped 21 times by the Greek national team.
