Sivasspor sign Mamadou Samassa from Ligue 2 club Troyes

Mamadou Samassa will don the red-and-white colours of the Turkish club next season.

Sivasspor have announced the signing of goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa from France’s Ligue 2 club Troyes.

The Super Lig side revealed the transfer, their first of the summer, on their official website as well as their official social media accounts.

The 29-year-old Mali international signed a two-year contract at the club’s office in Istanbul on Saturday.

Club president Mecnun Otyakmaz, also present at the signing in Istanbul, welcomed the player to the club and wished him success next season.

Samassa spent last season as Troyes’ main goalkeeper, making 36 appearances for the French club during which he conceded 28 goals and managed to keep 16 clean sheets.

Samadou passed his medical in Istanbul on Saturday.
