The Brazilian midfielder has left The Lions for Spanish giants Sevilla.

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have sold midfielder Fernando Reges to La Liga club Sevilla, the Turkish club announced on Friday.

According to the statement released by The Lions on their official website, the Spanish club have agreed to pay €4.5 million for the transfer.

“We have reached an agreement with Sevilla over Fernando Reges’ transfer. Under the agreement, Sevilla will pay €4.5 million to Galatasaray,” the statement read.

Galatasaray posted a farewell message on their social media accounts in honor of the rugged Brazilian midfielder.

“Thanks, Fernando. We wish you success with your new team,” Galatasaray tweeted on Friday.

Since joining Galatasaray from Man City in August 2017, the 31-year-old made 58 appearances during which he scored 4 goals and made 4 assists.

Meanwhile, the Super Lig champions are close to signing Serbian defensive midfielder Ljubomir Fejsa from Benfica.

The two clubs have agreed to a €3 million deal and are now negotiating personal terms with the 30-year-old.

Celta Vigo midfielder Emre Mor is another name linked with Galatasaray.

The Turkey international traveled to Istanbul with his representatives earlier during the week and met with club officials regarding a transfer.

The 21-year-old is reported to have agreed terms with The Lions and a deal could be announced in the coming days if the club’s management approve the deal.
