Genclerbirligi sign Daniel Candeias from Rangers

The capital-based club have transferred right winger Daniel Candeias from Scottish outfit Glasgow Rangers.

Turkish Super Lig newcomers Genclerbirligi have announced the signing of winger Daniel Candeias from Scotland’s Galsgow Rangers.

The 31-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the Turkish football club.

Genclerbirligi’s chairman Murat Cavcav said the club is pleased with the transfer.

“I hope this agreement will be beneficial for both sides,” Cavcav told reporters during the press conference held in Ankara.

Candeias is no stranger to Turkish football having played for Super Lig outfit Alanyaspor during the 2016-2017 season. During his first stint in the Super Lig, the Portuguese winger scored 4 goals in 30 appearances for his club.

His track record with Rangers for the last two seasons stands at 14 goals and 25 assists.
