Kasimpasa profit €30m from bargain transfer deals

Kasimpasa profit €30m from transfer sales

The small Istanbul club have mastered the trade of buying low and selling high, earning them a cool €30m in profit over the past five seasons.

Turkish Super Lig minnows Kasimpasa may not be known for their success on the pitch but they have attracted attention with their smart moves in the transfer market. The club’s management have signed players for little to no money only to sell them on for large profits.

After their latest sale of their star midfielder Mahmoud Ahmed Ibrahim Hassan, also known as Trezeguet, to Aston Villa earlier this week for roughly €10 million, the club have made significant gains in the player sales department.

Senegal striker Mbaye Diagne remains as the club’s biggest sale to date, earning them a massive profit margin. Kasimpasa signed the striker from China’s Tianjin Teda for free during the 2017-2018 season only to sell him for an initial €10 million in the January transfer window of last season to Galatasaray.

The Turkish club pulled off another major sale earlier this week by shipping Trezeguet to Aston Villa for roughly €10 million. The 24-year-old had joined the Super Lig outfit for €2 million from Belgium’s Anderlecht at the end of the 2017-2018 season.

Below are the club’s top selling players for the past five seasons.
