Galatasaray make Christian Luyindama loan permanent

The Lions have decided to keep the Congolese defender on a permanent deal.

Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have announced the permanent transfer of Christian Luyindama from Standard Liege on Monday.

The tall defender spent last season on loan with The Lions and after impressing the club’s management with his consistent performances the club have decided to purchase the player outright.

According to the information provided by the club on Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Galatasaray have paid Standard Liege €5 million for the player’s transfer.

Luyindama has inked a three-year deal with Galatasaray who will pay him €1.5 million per season starting from the 2019-2020 campaign.

Meanwhile, reports from Italy are claiming Radamel Falcao has agreed to a three-year deal with Galatasaray.

Earlier on Monday, Galatasaray president Mustafa Cengiz kept a tight lip when asked about the possibility of Falcao joining Galatasaray but he did confirm the club are working to complete the transfer.
